DOUBLE-GATE B&B

• Three miles from Glastonbury. Six miles from Wells. Rural location, no public transport.
• Parking. 4 Covered spaces next to Riverside Suites. Garden side of Swallow Barn for set down only. Large car park across the road. All solid surfaces.
• All ground floor areas are accessible in all buildings, by wheelchair.(NAS M3).
• All interior and exterior doorways are extra wide and will accommodate wheelchair entry. The exterior threshold to the Farmhouse is level entry. The exterior entry to Swallow Barn has a gentle slope to level entry point, with one handrail on the right and a vertical grab rail at the doorway on the right. Suites are all level entry. The exterior entry to the Games Room has a portable ramp going down inside. Slope is minimal. Entry is also via the Farmhouse guest lounge, and is level entry.

DOUBLE-GATE FARMHOUSE

• All ground floor areas in the farmhouse are level with no steps and carpeted.
• Guest lounge has ample turning space.
• Entry for breakfast room for private use is via the Farmhouse guest lounge. Breakfast is at two large farmhouse tables, one adapted for wheelchair use.
• All bedrooms in the Farmhouse are on the first floor. (13 step staircase with right hand rail). All are en-suite with one step entry into the bathrooms. All have standard lighting and touch lighting.
• Farmhouse has fire doors, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers.

GARDEN DINING ROOM.

• Level, South access for wheelchairs.( patio side). North access has 2 steps.
• Large dining room with 180 degree scenic views of garden and meadows.
• Solid roof with down lighters, ceiling fans and ambient low level lighting.
• All tables accessible.

RIVERSIDE SUITES. (Quad, Triple, Double, Twin occupancy).

• Riverside Suites are all ground floor with level entry North and South with level patio area, table and chairs, overlooking the River Sheppey and open meadow. Safety balustrade.
• Bedrooms are carpeted with movable beds, refridgeration and ceiling fan.
• Wet rooms have non-slip flooring, roll in shower, choice of seating, grab rails. Roll under and standard wash basins with sensory activated, illuminated mirrors. WC with wall grab rail, drop down rail and toilet riser.
• All suites have down lighters and low level touch lighting.
• All suites are large with double wheelchair turning space.
• All suites comply with fire safety regulations and have optional emergency pull cords.
• Optional extras as for Swallow Barn.

SWALLOW BARN. (Self Catering).

• Dining room, sitting room and ground floor twin en-suite bedroom are carpeted.
• Ground floor en-suite bathroom has non-slip flooring, roll-in shower with protective half height shower screen and full height curtain. Grab rail and choice of wall seating or roll-in shower chair/commode. Roll under wash basin and standard wash basin. WC with wall grab rail, drop down rail and toilet riser.
• Ground floor area light switches are all at low level and all low level lighting is touch operated.
• For the independent wheelchair traveller, Swallow Barn has an optional pull cord alarm system in the bedroom and en-suite.
• Kitchen has non-slip flooring with low level and standard height work surfaces joined by an adjustable multi-height sink and drainer. Low level, pull out, extra work surface. Low level hob and built in cooker. No kick boarding under low level units.
• First floor(13 step staircase with handrails both sides to half way and then on the right only) has 2 double en-suite bedrooms. Standard height light switches and standard en-suites. Low level touch lighting in bedrooms.
• A list of optional extra equipment is available including information/menu in Braille and large print, tactile and shake awake alarm clocks. Spare wheelchair.
• Assistance dogs welcome. Blanket, water bowl and treats supplied.
• Swallow Barn has smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and fire blanket.

GAMES ROOM.

• Level flooring, carpeted.
• Standard height and low level information racks. Accessible tourist information.
• Full size snooker table. Table tennis table (wheel under), darts and shove ha'penny.

LAUNDRY ROOM.

• Situated by the entry gate. One step access. Ramp available.

CYCLE STORAGE.

Lock-up available, farm shed next to the laundry room. Ample storage for bicycles, tandems and motor bikes. Entry by one step or larger entry on the level.
